 The Causes of Flood
Flood is an overflow of water that submerges land which is usually dry. Flood is caused by some factors. The first factor is erosion. Erosion is the process when soil and rock are removed from the earth surface by exogenous processes such as wind or water flow, and then transported and deposited in other locations. Garbage is the next thing causes flood. Garbage which is thrown in the river will cause the blockage of water flow on channels; consequently, the water will overflow the surrounding area if it rains hard. Also, flood happens because of dam destruction. Dam destruction occurs because it is not maintained well. If the dam is broken, it automatically cannot control the water. And the last factor that causes flood is bare forests. It happens because of many people do illegal logging. If there are no plants, then the ground was not able to absorb great amount of water when it rains heavily. Based on the facts above, flood happens due to a variety of causes.
